where we are just stop awhile

‘look into my eyes tell me what you see’ she looks so wise this Lady

Today has been so beautiful in so many ways and I was given beauty in the shape of a gift if I need it will be salvation and from a stranger makes me believe in mankind again and the place where we all are right now.We all need to be needed, held ,loved, and made to feel important for just being who we are,it brings to mind the words of Mary Oliver the poet.

The crows see me.
They stretch their glossy necks
In the tallest branches
Of green trees. I am
Possibly dangerous, I am
Entering the kingdom.

The dream of my life
Is to lie down by a slow river
And stare at the light in the trees-
To learn something by being nothing
A little while but the rich
Lens of attention.

But the crows puff their feathers and cry
Between me and the sun,
And I should go now.
They know me for what I am.
No dreamer,
No eater of leaves.

Mary Oliver

She writes beautiful thought provoking words.I am what I am ,I can do what I have to do and as for felting well today I looked at the next set of fleeces for fibres, for yarn ,and I said ‘Thank you’ into my world .

  1. Chrissie, I love your comments today and yesterday – I too have had my spirit and belief in patience renewed this past couple of days; the most important life lesson that I’ve learned is that Love is stronger than hate – I know that to be a truth.

I also connected with your thoughts on your Mom – I have a soon-to- be 88 year-old mother whose health isn’t the best now but I try to take the time for us to do special things together -things that SHE enjoys; I always think that no matter how busy I am or how much I’d like to be playing in my studio that it is better time spent with her to give her some joy rather than waiting until I NEED to visit her in a hospital, God forbid – hope that day never comes. I’m also counting my blessings with our children – grown and happy – all good people we can be proud of nurturing their own.

I appreciate you in so many, many ways…For making me think, making me more appreciative of all the beauty in life, for your friendship, kindness, your generous heart and soul, your insights, wisdom and most of all…For just being you.

    Thank you dear friend…
    Big, big hugs,
