Updating

Good Housekeeping is needed all the time and I have been busy updating blogs,web sites,and putting portfolios together. I am back

After the horrendous year of 2015 and now recovered I am so looking forward to my work in 2016. Yes I still have dreadful backache,my wrist screams at me but I am upright,functioning and loving life as much as ever. I am finally back in my studio sorting designing and working. New Inks for Nuno

Working on finding a good ink I can write,paint,screen with on my silk/ cotton for Nuno use has occupied my brain this holiday. I know others have used various products without much success and some have produced beautiful work.I need an ink which will not bleed which will mix with my thickeners to give definition,will take application easily with my differing  tools/brushes etc. After a lot of trials I have it and am really pleased. Indigo and Eco Printing

  I so enjoyed learning how the ecodyeing goes so well with indigo and also messed around with Alkanet, which I feel needs more exploring.So many factors come into play to get agood result from the material, to the leaves used to your premordant etc  Pia was an excellent tutor and language was no problem at all from German to English and to Dutch we were a well tuned in class.Read more
