Afternoon everyone🕊
.
I have had the busiest time but finally got to the greenhouse to collect the Ranunculas from @FarmerGracy that I have been tenderly growing from corms. Everyone took so now planted out in the new Secret Garden.

A new Rose from David Austin ‘Mill on the Floss’ has arrived from them Thankyou @david_austin_roses so beautifully packed.

Miss Lily Rose named so as these were my Grandaughter Abigails favourite names.
.
Hand stitched and her hair is actually silk handyed in oak leaves and applied to her head.
.
The linen jacket is hand painted and her silk velvet skirt hand dyed – those cute leather boots hand stitched and of course French linen 1 ply hand knitted stockings………
Beautiful lace edged bloomers complete the look of Miss Lily Rose ready to explore the world around her.
.
During these Lockdown days I have returned to making dolls and LIttle Ladies a pastime which used to occupy me as achild stitching into anything I could fashion into a little doll and playmate.
Creating and stitching and felting and knitting take your mind on your own journey and allows some respite from the dreadfullness going on around the world.I have stayed home in my hills perfectly content just missing my 3+1. Of course my garden created from wild moorland over the last 10 years fills the days. This delphinium took me 4 years to find then careful nurturing up here until finally last year she flowered – I adore her the colours intense and fade as she ages. Today I cut just one spike to bring in as the weather is not nice outside today.
She will sit with Lily Rose as I write up the detailed instructions for making her as this Autumn I will be teaching the ‘how to create your Little Lady’ class dm me if you wish for details.
