Seriously I am not in reality painting the sky but Nigel thought this how the image looked so with homage to songs of the past I titled this post with aline from one of my favourite ‘golden oldies’with a slight change of word. You will have to imagine the music
On another note a fabulous class of 11 ladies all exploring basic nuno to place on felted bags this weekend at Farfield Mill went really well and I saw some strange felting habits and dispelled some myths re nuno felting.
What did upset me was the condition of the fibre some people brought with them bought from various place so badly dyed the fibres were all ready felted in some.It has made me seriously consider supplying fibres for sale at my workshops in future.
That said it was a good if hectic day and lovely bags were achieved.
Working inside out and around a form is a lot to think of when remembering orientation of the work to make that vital 1st cut to release the resist.
Further workshops there will include the Carpet bag and also the portfolio of Nuno techniques, which is covering all techniques and not a finished product, please contact Farfield Mill Sedbergh to put ypur name down.
The new 1-1 in my studio here is ready to go and time with me is bookable by emailing Chrissie at chrissieday.co.uk
Back to my screening and the finished part of the new custom ordered jacket.
Happy felting
