I actually love making these  Nuno felted ‘carpetbag’ style bags with their integral frames,leather handles, and bag feet plus lovely metallic clasp fasteners.

The story starts when I begin to dye my silks or silk screen print them with a new design or using the deconstructed screen printing method .

After washing and ironing my silks then it is the turn of the fibres to go through the same careful choice process.

When a customer buys a bag I am always a bit sad letting it go on the new adventure but delight in the many ‘Thank you’ notes I receive telling me how they love their new bag.

Apart from direct contact with me or at the  studio gallery I have decided to open  an online store where they can now be purchased.
